At the December 2025 Annual Planning, the Board of Governors implemented a working group including members of the Executive Committee, Rugby Commissioners and Zone representatives. The group was tasked with providing a Rugby 15s classification solution before the 2026 season of play began. That working group met on Friday, January 23, 2026, and reached consensus to adopt the following classifications for Rugby 15s for both boys and girls:

5A = 1400+
